If we haven’t talked in the past few months, you might not know I have officially retired after 37 years in Healthcare IT. I was only 20 years old when I started to work in the basement as a Computer Operator at St. Mary’s Hospital in Kankakee, IL. I am so very blessed to have the opportunity to retire at such a young age! I had been talking about it for some time but I was more than a little afraid to make the leap. I have had an awesome career and I have worked with some really fabulous and special people. Many of them are Facebook Friends. You know who you are!!! However, it was seriously time for a major life reboot. There were many signs, including losing both my parents and most favorite people in the whole wide world within an 8-month window. And maybe spending 3 weeks in the hospital with strep pneumonia, gasping for air. These things certainly do have a way of getting your attention. Anyway, this new life chapter for me is about adventure, spreading love and seeking joy.
